Head in the clouds, Feet on the Ground

Gravity, the thing that grounds us, the force of nature that we desperately try to defeat because  we are born to fly, apparently. It seems to me that everyone is too consumed by the ambitions of achieving materialistic ideals, when in reality we are all simply trying to stay alive. Men aim to have a lucrative job, a hi-tech laptop, a lavish lifestyle. No car is fast enough, no apartment is big enough, no bank account is loaded enough. As we deviate from the true meaning of life, pseudo-relativism takes over the world by storm. The textbook definition of relativism is that there is no absolute truth, but it has, in recent years boiled down to people have different perspectives and I'm not saying you are wrong, but I'm right too. While in theory it sounds respectful and considerate, doesn't it? But it has become an alibi for every toxic person you can think of. We choose to live in the objective reality but conform to our subjective principles, hell I've even talked to people who justify murder as well. Obviously, they haven't committed any but the idea that they have convinced themselves that it would be okay or that it could be justified in a certain situation is a bit concerning. While even I sometimes wonder if it could be an option, I stop myself in the tracks and adopt the socially acceptable choice. Thinking abnormal (in the sense of socialism) ideologies isn't wrong, We are, however, human. But the problem arises when it takes the form of intent. And it is only a steep slope from there on out. It develops into a being of it's own. But the truth is, there are designated humans that have been selected through strenuous processes to be elected as law enforcement or as world leaders. While it is okay to question those methods based on the results, we must keep in mind that taking matters into our own hands isn't an option either. For we Joe Everymans are not qualified either. There must be a balance of both sides achieved for a safe sustainable life. For in the end, we aren't really working our asses off to get the best money can buy. We are simply looking for contentment. And there are many ways to find it, the key one being to fulfill your purpose. And the search for purpose is a beautiful way to live life. Because the fun is in the search, and we won't even realise sometimes that in searching for said purpose we are, in a way, fulfilling it too. And that is the daily dose of advice. Moreover, I have adopted this new method where I upload all posts at the same time everyday. So if this kind of candid, frank, rant-esque, frivolous content piques your interest, log on at 7am IST for new posts everyday. So Merry Christmas, ya filthy animal...wanted to make a reference but sayonara felt too lame. Okay byeeeeeee
